Criterion Capital celebrates World Humanitarian Day

Through The Aziz Foundation, we are proud to contribute to this global mission by investing in the future through their Scholarship Programme.

Criterion Capital

Since the Foundation’s inception in 2015, they’ve awarded over 580 full-fee scholarships, with 65% of them going to female scholars. These scholarships don’t just fund education; they transform lives.

The Foundation’s commitment doesn’t end with scholarships. They partner with prestigious organisations like the Financial Times, Friends of the Earth, and Refugee Action to provide paid internships and employment opportunities in underrepresented sectors. These roles empower scholars to gain valuable experience, contribute meaningfully to society, and further their professional development.

Moreover, the Foundation is proud to champion diversity in higher education through The Aziz Foundation Inclusion Award, which recognises universities that are advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as fostering community participation and interfaith understanding.

“Our mission is to create opportunities that allow individuals to not only succeed but to lead, inspire, and uplift others within communities”, says Rahima Aziz BEM, Trustee of The Aziz Foundation. “On World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate the transformative power of education and the incredible impact our scholars are making across the globe. Our scholars are diverse, talented individuals committed to creating positive change. With 94% of our graduates in employment and 13% already in senior roles, the impact is clear – education is a powerful tool for social mobility and community advancement.”

At Criterion Capital, we believe that by empowering individuals, we uplift entire communities. On this day, we celebrate the humanitarian spirit that drives our scholars and all those working to build a more just, inclusive, and compassionate world.
