The Lion Dance (舞狮 – wǔ shī) is a cherished tradition, symbolising good fortune, prosperity, and warding off evil spirits. A key part of the performance is “picking the greens” (採青), where the lion “eats” lettuce before spitting it out to spread wealth and luck to the audience – a vibrant display of culture and community spirit.
