Halima Aziz, Head of Hotels, to speak at the Annual Hospitality Conference 2024

We are delighted to announce that Halima Aziz, Head of Hotels at Criterion Hospitality, will be speaking at the Annual Hospitality Conference (AHC) on 1st October.

Criterion Capital

Halima will participate in the panel discussion “Reimagining Spaces: Seizing Opportunities in Adaptive Reuse”, which will explore the benefits of transforming non-hospitality assets, such as offices, into attractive investments for the UK hospitality sector. This discussion will provide valuable insights into the challenges, cost-to-return ratios, design strategies and market opportunities presented by adaptive reuse.

Following its 20th anniversary last year, AHC 2024 highlights the theme “Proven Paths, New Horizons”, showcasing the solid foundations and new growth opportunities in the UK hospitality industry.

Sharing Criterion Hospitality’s innovative approach, Halima notes, “Zedwell, one of our unique hotel brands, transforms former commercial sites into cutting-edge, windowless hotels, leading the charge in adaptive reuse. We’re rapidly expanding across the UK, with our recent site acquisition in Manchester and the announcement of our first Scottish hotel in Edinburgh. I’m excited to join the panel, share our journey and present a compelling case to attendees. I look forward to the conference and connecting with colleagues interested in our growth and collaboration opportunities.”

Halima and the Criterion Capital team are eager to connect with the hospitality community during AHC 2024. If you are attending the conference and would like to set up a meeting, please email Saskia Jiggens at saskia.jiggens@criterioncapital.co.uk.
