As part of the panel “Reimagining Spaces: Seizing Opportunities in Adaptive Reuse”, Halima discussed the growing potential for adaptive reuse across the UK – a key principle of our unique Zedwell Hotels brand.

At Zedwell, we specialise in transforming underutilised buildings into tranquil, windowless “cocoons” designed to provide the ultimate rest experience. Each room features soundproofed walls, Hypnos mattresses, purified air, ambient lighting, and no electronic distractions, creating a sanctuary for our guests. With successful locations in Piccadilly Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Greenwich, and exciting new projects in Manchester, York, and Edinburgh, we are rapidly expanding. By 2027, we are set to have 8,000 rooms across 24 hotels in the UK.

As Halima emphasised, adaptive reuse allows us to reimagine prime urban spaces, preserve heritage and significantly reduce environmental impact – all while delivering projects more efficiently than traditional builds.
