Hosted by the University of Westminster, it was a day filled with inspiration, insights and connections as we inducted our newest scholars into The Aziz Foundation community. This year, 50 scholarships were awarded across eight key areas, including the newly added focus on Philanthropy & Grant Making. Our Foundation is proud to have supported over 600 scholars since its inception and this year’s scholars will study across 22 universities in the UK.

The Induction Day was a unique opportunity for incoming scholars to network with alumni, engage with thought-provoking panels on the university experience and gain career insights from esteemed speakers 🎤. A special highlight was a speech from Rahima Aziz BEM, Trustee of the Foundation, who emphasised to scholars: “None of you are here by chance. Each one of you has been handpicked to receive an Aziz scholarship. I am confident that you are all exactly the right people to break barriers and enact the real and lasting change we must see in fields where British Muslims are underrepresented.”

The day concluded with an energising speech from Asif who reminded us all of the importance of giving back to our communities. We look forward to supporting the new Aziz Scholars on their journey to make a positive impact in their respective fields.
